Is it possible to instead of plugging one computer into the PC port of a Yealink T23G, to plug in an Ethernet switch to which other phones and computers will connect?

I have done this before with a T26P and it work from me, but I can't guarantee it will work with a T23G.

Agreed, it definitely works on the T23G also. One thing that I have not tested though is whether the phone will pass tagged VLAN frames between the PC and WAN ports. I suspect the answer is yes, but you would have to test to be sure.
