Full Version: T28P - Power LED won't turn off

I have 4 T28P phones I recently purchased. I pushed them all to Firmware 2.73.0.50 and started to configure them.

I can't seem to get the power LED to go off no matter what I select in the Features -> Power LED section.
I want the Power light to be off by default and only show on an incoming call.

No matter what I do I cannot make the light go off. I have deselected all the power LED options and I still get the Green LED showing.

any thoughts ? All the phones are configured through the web interface and I have tried Factory Resetting the phones, but no change.

thanks for your information

you can disable the Power LED on the Web page path :

Features -> Power LED -> Common Power Light On

just set it to Disable , and you can also adjust the other situation on that page .

Doesn't work. the power LED stays on even if Common Power Light On is set to OFF.
if still not work after factory reset ,please provide us the trace file for future analysis , trace file including pcap file, config bin and syslog file , for how to get them , please refer to the FAQ below:

Nothing so far. Can you confirm receipt of the files please.

I have not hear anything more about this issue and no response to my message with the Logs attached.

Can any other users confirm they can turn the Power LED off from the web config settings ?

we have already submit your issue to our R&D and also send you An email through our issue follow ticket system , maybe it is block by your email

So I have send this email again and our R&D are investigating this issue, if any update , we will let you know ASAP

thanks for your information

for your question , out R&D has investigated and here is the solution

1. loginto the web page of the phone and export the syslog to server , for details , refer to the file attached
2. open wireshark and start to capture , for details , refer to the file attached and you can download the wireshark tool from this link :

3. disconnect all the network cable of the phone
4. long press the OK key for at least 5 seconds and then press again to reset the factory
5. after the phone boot up , connect the network cable and check whether the Power LED is always on
6. register an account and see whether the power led is always on

if the issue still exist , please kindly provide the syslog from server and pcap file from wiresahrk and the config file from phone to us again , we will follow up.

I have done all the above steps and the issue still exists. It almost seems like the hardware is ignoring the request to turn off the Power LED. I can see in the Syslog messages like "Power Light *OFF* by common setting" but the power LED never goes out. Not even during the factory reboot (although this forces the LED mode to be ON for "Common Power LED On" option.) Disabling this option after the Factory restore does not turn off the LED. Registering an account does not turn off the LED.

It is possible that HW v1.0.1.1 was never able to disable its power LEDs?

If you still need the other items I can send them through, but everything suggests that the power led is not going off even though it is being told to.
