I just purchased a W60B base and handset. I also have a W52P handset registered to the base. The W52P handset has a message on the screen - “Old firmware! Please upgrade!”. The firmware version is 26.73.0.11, so I downloaded 26.73.0.30.rom and tried to install via the W60B web admin. It did not report any errors, but the handset has not been upgraded. What am I doing wrong??

To upgrade the handset by using the OTA procedure the handset must run minimal:
Firmware 26.40.0.15 / Hardware 26.0.0.6
If you want upgrade your handset please use the USB Tool.

My handset is:

Hardware: 26.0.0.5
Firmware: 26.73.0.11

I am also running OSX so the .exe hardware tool is useless to me.

Surely there is an OSX version of the USB upgrade tool???

An OSX version?… Not that I am aware off.
Do you know if it’s posisble to upgrade the handset firmware via the web if I reconnect it back to the old W52P base instead of the new one?

This is also not possible, because the (minimum) hardware requirement is 26.0.0.6 or above.
That’s why you can’t upgrade the handset Over The Air (OTA) and must use the USB Tool.

Don’t you have a colleague/friend who work with a Windows machine?
