Full Version: [SOLVED] T46-Call Forward Off Code Adds Target to Dial String When Sync Enabled
You're currently viewing a stripped down version of our content. View the full version with proper formatting.
When using the call forward syncing, the T46 is sending the off code with the target of the call forward. This is causing the call forward disable to fail. Enabling works, but disabling fails.

My On Code is set to *72. My Off Code is set to *73. I am trying to forward my phone to 8005551234 (fake number for explanation)

If I press forward, my phone dials *728005551234. This works and correctly forwards my phone.

If I press forward again to cancel my forward, my phone dials *738005551234. It should only be dialing *73. The T32s and T38s in my office only dial *73. Is there a reason that the T46 is dialing the forwarding string even though I'm cancelling my forward? Is there another setting to tell it not to do that? This problem causes our forward syncing to fail and people not to be able to unforward their phones.
Dear Customer,

Good day!

For this issue, please help check below information for us so we can understand the issue better.

1.In order not to misunderstanding, can you please record a video about the forward steps to help us see more intuitive.

2.How many T46G phones do you have? Do they all have the same issue?

3.What is firmware version of the T46G phone.

4.What is the server(PBX) platform?

Thanks in advance. Any update, freely to let me know. evan@yealink.com

Evan,

1. The video is linked below. I first show you my call forward settings. I then press Call Forward on the main screen which activates call forwarding. I press Call Forward again to disable it. The phone shows the forward icon and takes it away as expected. In the picture below, you can see the call log from our switch. The T46 dialed *728005551234 correctly. When I turned off forwarding, the T46 dialed *738005551234 when it should have dialed *73.

2. All have the same issue. We have about 10 T46s. We have about 20 T32/T38s which do not have this issue.
3. 28.82.0.30. I am not sure if this happened on older versions.
4. We are using AsteriskNow using Asterisk 1.8 and PBXact using Asterisk 13. Both platforms behave the same when the call forward off code is sent with the call forward target in the dial string.
Dear Jim,

Thank you, now all the information is clear, I think the different mechanisms of T46G and T3X series phones caused this issue, and I will forward the issue to the R&D to help analyzing, then will let you know once any update.

Have a nice day!

Best Regards,
Evan You
This has been resolved by Yealink Support. They sent me firmware 28.82.0.47 which included the fix. Thanks!
