Full Version: cannot get forwarding to work

Hi,

One of our T41P phones is not allowing us to forward. We have tried forwarding from both the phone and the GUI. I have also noticed that the features->forward&dnd is missing a few options like on/off code on all forwarding tabs. I have also noticed an extra tab called Applications which is not available on the other T41p phones.

I have tried upgrading/downgrading to the latest version (36.82.0.20 and 36.81.0.20)

Could you please help me sort this problem?

Dear Andrei,

If i don't misunderstand you, you mean you want to use the BSFT version(Broadsoft XSI/Broadsoft XMPP and so on). In our V82 firmware, SIP and BSFT share the same version.But it is SIP version by default. If you want to use the BSFT version, you need to use the parameter below to do auto provision to enable the BSFT version:
bw.enable = 1

If you upgrade from the BSFT version(V81) to V82, then the on/off code for DND and Forward are disabled in the web interface. That is by design.
You can use below parameters to do auto provision to configure the code:
forward.no_answer.on_code=
forward.no_answer.off_code=
forward.busy.on_code=
forward.busy.off_code=
forward.always.on_code=
forward.always.off_code=

features.dnd.on_code=
features.dnd.off_code=


For the forward don't work issue, please change the configure and test below:
features.forward.feature_key_sync.enable=
0-Disabled
1-Enabled, a user changes the forward status on server, the server notifies the phone of
synchronizing the status. Conversely, if the user changes forward status on the phone, the IP phone notifies the server of synchronizing the status.
Note: It works only if the value of the parameter “features.feature_key_sync.enable” is set to 1 (Enabled).

I am trying to use the forward function of the phone either via the web interface or the phone menu and it does not work.

I think our provision server sent the wrong software version to the phone as it does not look as the other phones. Even after we upgrade/downgrate the options do not change and we are unable to use the forward function.

I have attached a picture for you to see how the gui looks.

I have managed to get forwarding to work by using bw.enable = 0 and restarting the phone.
