Full Version: Increase intercom tone value

Hello,

I have a customer that is complaining about the intercom tone. Apparently the volume for the intercom alert tone is very low. Comparing to other phones, it's also very low.

All the phones are Yealink T46S with firmware 28.0.81.110. The volume is at the max. in the speaker phone and handset.

Any suggestions?

The best I found is to go under Settings, then Tones. Select Custom for the Country, then for Auto Answer, enter 1900 for the frequency. It's a little more piercing beep. There is no way to make it longer or louder. You can only change the frequency.
Yealink needs to increase the length of the tone, not so much the volume (though volume would help as well). The problem is when using intercom, we need about 1-2 seconds of the tone instead of a few milliseconds before the phone auto answers.
This request has been delivered to our product department. Will post here the final decision when we have feedback from PD.

This cannot come quick enough, my users dont want to blast their neighbors at full volume just so they can catch when someone intercom beeps.
Do we have an estimated date yet!? It's mid 2018 now and there have been several firmware updates, but this has yet to be implemented. HuhAngry

We're also waiting for this feature, an ETA would be great since we have several clients who have asked for this.
This apparently minor issue is a DEAL BREAKER for MOST end users.

They can only hear "we're working on it" so many times before they find another vendor.

You have been made aware of this issue as early as 2015 and there has still been no reasonable response.

We will not sell another Yealink phone until this is resolved.
I just installed quantity of 100 - T46S yesterday and they just told us to rip them out because the owner is slightly hearing impaired and cannot hear the low fast Intercom beep. How hard is it for Yealink Engineers to implement this????? This is common sense. They have every other tone increase except this.
