Has anyone else been able to get EDK keys functioning properly?

Per http://support.yealink.com/faq/faqInfo?id=539, we have our provisioning server configuring a DSS key as follows:

*6800$Cwc$$Cp4$7733356##Tdtmf$

What is supposed to do, per that document, is dial *6800, wait for 4 seconds, and then input 7733356## as a DTMF send string.

What's actually happening is the phone does in fact dial *6800 as defined, but then does nothing; it does not send the defined DTMF string. It almost seems that the phone changing it's state from idle to dialing is causing the remaining commands to be ignored.
Dear Customer,

This is Johnson from Yealink technical support team. Nice to work with you.
Sorry for late reply, since our whole company has just finished our National Holiday from Oct 1st to 8th.

Please try to use EDK value as below:
*6800$Tinvite$$Cwc$$Cp4$7733356#$Tdtmf$

Any update, please feel free to let me know.

We tried this prior to posting this thread and that string does not work either.

It exhibits this same behavior as originally described.

We have tested this on all of the S series phone using T4S-66.82.0.10 firmware.
Dear Customer,

Would you please contact your PBX server administrator to check with
the PBX server support DTMF feature or not?
If the PBX server can't support DTMF feature, the phone also can't
use EDK feature.

I am the PBX administrator and yes, DTMF functions are supported. We're using them with other phone models on the same PBX without issue.

It's not a PBX issue; it seems that as soon as the call is established, the phone ignores any commands.
Dear Customer,

1.When you press the custom key, after dail *6800 you can hear the dial tone(for 7733356##) or not?

2.Setting the DTMF Type as "RFC283+SIP INFO" on the phone web interface.

3.Would you please provide the issue for us.
