Full Version: SIP Notify Answer event on T4 range

The SIP Notify Answer event does not work on Yealink T4 phones running Firmware v80 or v81. It does work on Firmware v71.

Steps to reproduce (on a phone running v81 firmware):

1) Register a T4 (e.g. T41P) to an Asterisk system. I used FreePBX 13.14.0 with chan_pjsip.

2) Configure the SIP Notify as follows:

/etc/asterisk/sip_notify_custom.conf

[yealink-answer]
Event=>answer=true

3) Restart Asterisk

4) Place a call to the endpoint

5) Send a SIP notify to Asterisk:

pjsip send notify yealink-answer endpoint 1011

6) The phone will not do anything although it does send a 200 OK response to the Asterisk system.

I downgraded the firmware to v80. I had the same problem.

I downgraded the firmware to v71. The SIP Notify Answer event worked as expected.

I have tested this on a T41 and a T46.

Has this function been deprecated or changed or is this a bug ?

Please let me know if you require any further information.
