Hi,

searching in directories should of course be simple.

I realised that if I want to search the string "Peter" in my diretory I could type the numbers 73837.
This method works for XML based files but not for LDAP based searches.

Is there an option to set to use this "wildcard" search also in LDAP binded directory?

Best regards
Patrick

BTW: How is this type of search named? Wink

Hi Patrick,

This is called T9 search method.

The remote phonebook and LDAP are different, for remote phonebook, the xml file was downloaded to the phone, so T9 search process is on the phone, then it is working, but for LDAP, the search process is on the LDAP server, and then phone download the search result from the LDAP server.

This method should be added from the server side.
Any question, freely to let me know.
