After updating to the latest firmware on my T48G (35.81.0.25), I've noticed an irritating behavior that the phone never exhibited before. Whenever the screen goes off (in the GUI I have Unused Backlight set to off with a 2 minute delay), the Power LED light starts blinking slowly. This doesn't happen when I change the Unused Backlight setting to low.
I can't find any setting related to the Power LED that stops this from happening, nor do I know if this is simply the way the new firmware tells the phone to behave or not. I've tried a factory reset of the phone, and it still happens. It also isn't related to my VOIP service provider, as the phone exhibits the behavior before I even setup an SIP account on in it. If this is some new desired behavior, I'd appreciate an option be added in the phone's GUI to disable it. I find it irritating as I only want the LED to blink like that when there's a voicemail waiting. But now, whenever the screen goes off the phone behaves as if I have a voicemail, and the only way to know for sure is to hit a button to switch on the screen.
