Hi Forum,

a customer, with small branch uses a FritzBOX and two T48G. The FritzBOX does not support BLF. Can the phones check and show the line status?

The right keyword for google is enough for me. Smile

Thanks in advance
Alex

Hi Alex,

Busy Lamp Field (BLF) is a light on an IP phone which tells you whether another extension connected to the same PBX is busy or not. When configured, the phone subscribes to a resource list available on an IP PBX to be notified with such information about other extensions. BLF works through the SIP protocol by making use of SUBSCRIBE and NOTIFY messages. In a normal scenario, the phone is the subscriber and the IP PBX is the notifier.

Long story short: If your FritzBox doesn’t support BLF, then you will never get it work for you.

Hope this helps.
Hi complex1,

thank you for your explanation.
The phones have no way to share a resource list localy?
This would be nice in little branches.

Thanks
Alex

Hi Alex,

Hopefully somebody else in the community jumps in with a solution that can help you further.

Good luck.
