When sending a SIP notify with “Event: check-sync”, a Yealink phone won't reboot if
sip.notify_reboot_enable=0 is set in the config file.

Now the question is, with sip.notify_reboot_enable=0 and a SIP notify with “Event: check-sync, reboot=false”, will the phones reboot if changes to the config file were made that would require a reboot to take effect, such as to VPN, LDPP, etc.?

Yes I think the phone will reboot.

The phone only reboots when there is at least a specific configuration requiring a reboot after auto provisioning. If you want to force the IP phone to perform a reboot after auto provisioning, you can configure “static.auto_provision.reboot_force.enable = 1” in the configuration file.
