On this new v81 firmware, for both the T41 and T42, the backlight value set via provisioning is essentially ignored by the phone.

If the config is phone_setting.backlight_time = 0, the value for "Backlight Time" is set to Always Off, as well as is if phone_setting.backlight_time = 1, the value for "Backlight Time" is also set to Always Off.

This is definitely a bug and needs to be addressed.

We utilize Metaswitch to provision these phones, and the provisioning server sets the following value:

phone_setting.active_backlight_level = 8
phone_setting.inactive_backlight_level = 1
phone_setting.backlight_time = 0


Yet, the phone config (via Web GUI) shows the attached.


Please advise and address ASAP, we had to roll back to v80 firmware as a result.

They got removed from the support's site, but which version of the 81 firmware you have.
Are you on XX.81.0.25 ?
Or you are on the XX.81.0.20 ?

We are now on XX.81.0.25 and the backlight issue has been resolved.
