Hi everybody,

We have a problem with the new yealink T23 phone and one Epygi PBX with E1T1 gateway.
We install in italy Epygi and yealink from many years, and we have always used the T20, T22, T26, T28 and T46 models (especially T22 and T26).
To one new customer we installed about 50 T23 phone and one T26 with the module expansion for the operator. The PBX is connected to one Telecom Italia E1 though an EPygi E1T1 gateway.
If we use the T26P phone the communication is always perfect (for both, calling and called), but if we use the T23p often the called party hear some distorsion/saturation audio.
If we speak with a low voice volume the audio is very good, but if we speak with normal/high voice volume there is a lot audio saturation/distortion.
We tried do decrease the gain volume of the E1 gateway, and the audio is better, but is not good at all.
We tried also to use some T22 phones and the audio is always perfect, like the T26.
Now we perfomed the upgrade to the vesion 44.80.0.20 and the audio quality is improved, but we still have the “microphone volume level problem” with the saturation/distorsion if the voice of the user is normal/too high.
I noticed also that we cannot turn down the volume of the microphone in the T23 configuration.
How can we fix this problem to the customer?

Sure, into the configuration file you have to change the value " voice.handset_send = ".
The Default value is 25, we use " voice.handset_send = 1 " to reach the same level of the T22.
