Full Version: Short Delay on audio for incoming calls to T41p

Hello again everybody,

I have T41p phones (firmware 36.72.0.55) on a FreePBX (v12) system connecting to SIP provider. My issue is that when the incoming call comes in, there is a brief delay in audio. Eg. when the person answers and says "Hello thanks for calling", you basically don't hear the "Hello Thanks" part of that, so maybe about 1 second audio delay. This could be the establishment of the SIP call or possibly related to the phone timers. Is there anything in the phone configuration that could be adjusted to prevent this delay from happening?

Thanks for any help.

Jim
Hi Jim,

Sorry for the late, we just come back from Holiday.
The problem happens to all T41P in your side?
It only happens in incoming call? Not an outgoing call?

Can you check in T41P V73 firmware? 36.73.0.45? Do a reset after upgrading.

Yes, it only happens on incoming calls. I think it may be related to RTP not starting right away after the handset is picked up. I'll try this firmware as well to see if it helps.

My question, was the problem solved? How?

What do you recommend?
