Hello,

I ran into a problem when I upgraded vp2009 to V40 in recovery mode.
Now the phone freezes at the initialization screen and won't boot up.
Is there a way to downgrade to V30 or V21?

Thanks.

i have the same problem (i found out i have 128mb version)
is there any way to downgrade?
I'm still waiting for a reply to my latest email because Yealink is on the Spring Festival break.
The guides Peter sent me seem to be for recovery of the V4X only.
I wasn't able to downgrade to previous version.

its seems that when vp2009 is 128mb version the phone does start the update for v40 but it stucks in initializing screen.

after then the only files that the phone asks is V4X.rom,bin etc and all those are not
compatible with our version.

lets wait and see and i hope that i didnt brick my phone.

I tried renaming a V21 file to V4X.rom but the file seems to fail validation because the phone always attempts to download it three times before showing the fail message whereas with a V40 rom file it only downloads once and proceeds with the update.

BTW, Peter is expected to be back in office by Thursday.

If you look at the TFTP activity, you'd see that the same file is downloaded three times which I suspect is due to checksum failure.
is there any news?
Hi all,

Sorry for the late reply.
Please be note 128M RAM can't run V40 or above version and it can't be downgraded from V40 to V2x or V3x, do not suggest to try upgrading.
Attached the recovery mode in V40 version for your reference.

Thank you.

Peter
