Hi,

we have just had a set of T41P phones installed.

We use dial in conferencing with a client; the usual way to mute your line on these calls is to press *6. However, when we did this for the first time we seemed to get cut off from the call and the others on the call heard hold music. Anyone know what's happening?

Also, both myself and a colleague were dumped from the call after a certain period of time. This would never happen on our old phone system. Again, it would be great if someone could explain why this happened.

Thanks!
It sounds as if the DMTF tones are being misinterpreted as *6 is not something the phone is going to hang-up on.
You also do not mention what "Phone system" you are on now...
