Hi,
I have a T20P phone which has the firmware of 9.61.0.99 and it seems I need to upgrade to the highest version possible, as we are experiencing problems with our voip provider (sonetel.com).
However, the instructions to move to firmware 70 are just too complex.
I have exported our config from the phone, this is config.bin.
But I can't find any form of y00000001.cfg, etc. anywhere, nor mac.cfg.
Also, I don't know what you mean by configuration server, shall I just put the files to any webserver and that's it?
So I am lost. It is just one phone.
Please help.
Thanks
Istvan
Hi Istvan,
Usually, we have two methods of firmware upgrade:
1. Upgrade via Web User Interface. (Manually, from the local system for a single phone)
2. Upgrade Firmware via Auto Provisioning. (Automatically, from the provisioning server for a mass of phones)
I suggest that you can upgrade via Web User Interface.

Yealink IP phones support using FTP, TFTP, HTTP and HTTPS protocols to download configuration files. If the webserver support to these protocols, You can use one of these protocols for provisioning. You can refer to below Auto Provisioning guide for more information:

Hope this helps!
Thanks, does this mean that if I update using the web interface, there is no need to convert any settings files and mac files and the like?

Hi Istvan,
Yes, if you upgrade using the web interface, you don't need to convert any settings files and mac files and the like.
to firmware upgrade its simply:

downlaod the ne w firmware http://support.yealink.com/documentFront...19#frnotes
in the phone web page (you must know wich ip actually use, just press menu and ok in the phone and it shows)
go to configure, upgrade, select the file donwloaded previously and wait to finish

hope this helps
