Hi, we are a voip provider and are having more and more requests from customers who what to use Yealink phones. Recently, one of my customers has reported an issue where calls would hang up after exactly 5 minutes of being on hold. After looking at a packet capture, I noticed that the Yealink stops sending any kind of traffic to my PBX which causes my PBX to hangup the call after 5 minutes. Only Yealink phones do this, polycoms, cisco, aastra dont have this issue.

I looked at the configuration options for parameters like "silence suppression" that I could turn off, but I did not find anything that does the trick.

My PBX is Asterisk 11.

Anyone have something similar?

Thanks in advance
Dominic
Having the same issue with a T48G - It has to be a setting somewhere since Digium phones configured to the same extension on the same network route don't exhibit the symptom - I just can't find it in the settings - I will post if I do find it.

Hi Greg,

What's the firmware this T48G is running on?
Please upgrade it to latest firmware and check again.

If the issue persist, you can get a pcap trace/levle 6 syslog/config.bin file, I will send them to our R&D for an analysis.
How to get these files:
