Full Version: T42G cannot obtain IP Address

Hello,

After I provisioned the T42G, the device was not able to obtain an IP address from the DHCP. It seems that the first time the phone downloaded the y00000000029.cfg and MACADDRESS.cfg files.

Any ideas/Suggestions?

I tried again today (in a different environment) but the device is still not able to obtain an ip address.
As I can see the device send discover messages but can't get the ip address that the dhcp server offers.

Is this phone connect directly to your switch?
Any vlan turned on that may be blocking something?

Yes the phone is directly connected to a netgear POE switch and there are no VLAN's. The point is that I have other IP phones that can obtain an IP address without any problem.

What do you mean that you provisioning T42G and VALN can't work?
Does your T42G's DHCP can work well before provisioning?
Can you use static IP address and disable LLDP?
