Hello,

I have some T18P phones, that I want to upgrade to the latest firmware, but these phones cannot be found any more on the support pages. This is very inconvenient.

Is it possible to keep all info on older products on the site, but under a special end-of-life section?

In the mean time, can you point me to the latest firmware for the T18P?

Thanks,
Ron Arts
Can you tell me your current firmware of T18P?
Can you test 18.0.0.162.rom?
18.0.0.162.rom

18.0.0.162.rom

My current version is 18.0.0.80.
Do you have Release Notes? I can test it of course, but is this the latest official release, or a test release.

Thanks,
Ron
This firmware solves the audio issue when T18P talking with other T18 or T19 based on 18.0.0.80.
It is a technical release. The commercial firmware is 18.0.0.80.
I will test it tomorrow.

Can you explain to me the difference between commercial and technical firmware?

Does this difference apply to all models?

I have a lot of customers, and they use all yealink models. We autoprovision all phones for our customers.
If I want the latest firmware with the fewest issues do I take the top firmware on each product page?
Do you list the commercial software or just the latest technical firmware?

Thank you for explaining,
Ron
We just list the latest commercial software in website. We will release some technical firmwares when some customers encounter major issues in their environment. The technical firmware is not suitable for everyone.

18.0.0.162.rom

I have tested this T18P 18.0.0.162 firmware. It's working good with T32G (32.70.0.130) and T38G (38.70.0.125). Although the HD voice quality (codec G.722) seems to be slightly worse (slightly more background noise) then between T3xG.

Question, what is with T18P (UK) 18.0.23.5 firmware? Is it newer then 18.0.0.162? Has it the same template or is it incompatible with global stock T18P firmware?
Hi lorn10,

1. Due to some agencys need some special requirements, so we will release customized firmware for them. It is not suitable for everyone.
2. And I want to tell you the 18.0.0.162 is newer than 18.0.23.5 version.
3. The customized firmware entirely support all the T18 phones. It just is more suitable for special agency.

Many thanks for this detailed answer! Smile

Last note, I must agree with user raarts (original thread starter). It is needed to keep all info regarding older EOL products also at your main website. For example under a "legacy" special "end-of-life" section.

Furthermore you also should upload firmware 18.0.0.162 there, because it is much better then version 18.0.0.80.
