RPS is a free service developed for all Yealink customers worldwide. Through RPS, service providers can greatly simplify mass deployments of Yealink phones, save time and money in configuring and shipping phones, reduce errors caused by complicated manual configuration.

Benefits

(1) Eliminates the need for Manual Configuration
(2) Allows direct shipment to customer without the need for the Reseller to configure the phone
(3) Plug and Play installation for the customer

Take an example for you about the RPS:

1. Customer orders telephone/service

2. Reseller orders phone(RPS firmware) from Yealink Distributor
NOTE: Please make sure appropriate firmwares are installed on telephones (RPS firmware)

3. Yealink Distributor ships phone to customer and sends MAC details to Reseller
NOTE: Please make sure appropriate firmwares are installed on telephones (RPS firmware)

4.
(a): Reseller Creates provisioning files and provisioning server
(b): Reseller update RPS with MAC address and provisioning server details

(i) Login https://rps.yealink.com
(ii) Add MAC address of telephone to be configured
(iii) Add URL of directory that contains the appropriate CFG files

NOTE:
(1) Please make sure you have an RPS account. In order to access the RPS, you need to have a valid account that you can apply for from Yealink or our local distributors.
(2) Please creat a provisioning server (Yours) which has provisioning files(MAC.cfg or COMMON.cfg).

5.
(a): Reseller Customer powers up the phone, yealink phone boots and connects to network(Can connect to outside ethernet), V72 F/W request Provisioning Server details from RPS
(b): Yealink RPS provides Provisioning Server details, then phone requests and receives CFG files from Reseller Provisioning Server

Some Confusions:

1. Redirection Provisioning Service (located at Yealink)
2. Appropriate Firmware installed on telephone (RPS firmware)-Please ask Yealink distributors or Yealink for RPS version.
3. Provisioning Server (Located at Resellers)
(1) Contains the configuration files for each phone.
y0000000000xx.cfg (common file)
MAC-ADDRESS.cfg (Unique file)

(2) Located at Resellers
(3) Web Server Based
Supports https/http/ftp/tftp and DHCP based solutions
Uses Port 80 or 443(encrypted certificate based)

What can be configured in CFG files?

MAC-ADDRESS.cfg(Unique per telephone)
such as :
SIP account ID
SIP account password
Codecs
Display name
SIP Server
SIP Port
etc

y0000000000xx.CFG (Unique per model, such as T28, T46.)
such as:
BLF
Network parameters
Certificate
SYSLog info
SYSlog level (needs to be 6)
VPN
Auto provision check time
etc
