A common feature in Cisco/Linksys phones is the ability to make calls without successful registration, and it will successfully make the call via proxy.

“Make Call Without Reg” to “yes”.
“Ans Call Without Reg” to “yes”.

Do the yealinks have this option/feature, or can i request it?

Thanks
I think you can enable IP call via webpage->Features->General Information, enable Allow IP Call.
Then you don't need to register an account, just press ip address to connect to other phone.
If someone comes here for this question...

The answer is not what the OP was looking for. He wanted to do a normal PBX call with the SIP credentials and server on the account just that the phone should not need to be Registered to the PBX. (There is no inherent need to be Registered to the PBX to be able to make a call if you have the correct credentials.)
Great post.
