Full Version: T42G PC Port - Access PC shares

Hi All,

I am currently experiencing the following with a T42G:

-The T42G has a static IP configured
-a PC (X) which shares a printer connected to the PC Port of the T42G (also configured with a static IP)
-The PC (X) can connect to the WAN and LAN perfectly without any issues.
-The T42G can connect to the WAN and LAN perfectly without any issues.

The problem comes in when another PC (Z) tries to connect to the PC (X) which shares the Printer (lets say I want to print from Z on X). I have tried to ping PC (X) from PC (Z) but no response.
Without the T42G connected in this bridge mode everything works fine.
I have tried the setting: [Span to PC] under networking of the T42G but this did not resolve the issue.

It is as if the Phone is filtering the incoming packets or I am missing some sort of config. Perhaps someone could advise me on what I am missing here?

Firmware Version 29.71.0.121

Hi All,

I managed to resolve this myself. Fortunatly the issue was not caused by any of the SIP phones. An Admin applied a GPO during the same time of the deployment of the Phones which caused the firewall on the PC hosting the Printer share to block incoming packets.
