Hi there,

We have a number of T21 handsets working with 3CX Version 12. When we perform a Group Pickup, the display displays the Group Pickup code, not the number.

We have enabled both Supports Re-invite and Support 'Replaces' header and upgraded the firmware to 34.71.0.76 but no caller ID after Group Pickup. Since changes these settings, we can see the number post transfer, but not via Group Pickup.

Thanks.
Is below scenario is your issue?

C registers in T21
1. C has a BLF key which moniter B, pick up code *20*
2. A call to B, C want to pick up the call
3. C press BLF key to pick up the call
4. The LCD of T21 shows *20*C but not B

Please supply me more informations about this issue.

The scenario is if someone calls person B in room 1, we want anyone in room 1 to pick up B's phone. We use *20* to pick that up not *20*B. We have set the system to pick up calls in group only.

We have a number of extension groups and want to pick up any call within the group, not a specific call.

I have setup ring groups but a BLF won't monitor a ring group.

For now, I have set all of room 1's phones to twin with a number and for that number to be monitored by a BLF which works, but is not ideal.

Thanks.
If you want to use "Group Call Pickup", please enter webpage->Features->Call Pickup, enable Group Call Pickup and fill Group Call Pickup Code.
Anyway, i will try to reproduce your issue in my office.
We will fix this issue in the future version. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hi, I appreciate this may still be in progress, but do you have any update as to when this fix will come into play?

Thanks Cool

Although I don't believe this is fixed, I have found 2 work a rounds. If the phone you are picking up is in a queue, once picked up you have there name (found that out by accident). If you changed all extension numbers to groups, you could put another number in the group which people can be programmed into peoples BLF. This will mean people can see in advance who is calling.

For me, the yet to be released on 3CX BLF List would be ideal so you could put all members in group B into the list and via BLF eveyone could monitor this. I await 3CX to say when this will be possible.

Hey there - that's an interesting work around! Thanks. I think it's a bit over-engineered for the time being though, it's not a major issue for us, and weirdly, if you use 3CX my phone, it will pull the number through on the screen, so it's obviously just a programming issue, and not a limitation of the system.

Like yourself, I shall wait for the time being and see if anything happens in the short term - but the input is much appreciated! Smile
count me in, we are suffering from this "bug" as well...
It's disturbing not knowing the name or number of the caller that you just picked up...

please keep us updated on that issue

Just wanted to confirm that this issue is pretty much as you described in your post on 04-02-2014 08:04 AM.

I believe it has to do with the fact that dialing a Park Retrieval code (701 on my Asterisk system) or a Directed/Group Pickup code (*8 on my Asterisk system). Both of these events are seen by the Yealink phone as placing an Outbound call... so the digits dialed are displayed.

I tried the webpage->Features->Call Pickup and assigned the pickup code. Created a button on the phone to do the pickup... and while that all worked and I was about to pick up the call... the display still just said *8.

Is a fix being worked on for this?

Most Digital key systems and small PBX's do a very good job of passing the caller-ID to the LCD as the call is parked, transferred, put on hold, picked up, etc. Customers are very surprised when they move to a more advanced IP system and they loose the ability to pass the caller-ID when using most of these functions.
