Full Version: BLF Issue, can I solve some way ??

I set up a BLF key to call and monitor an extension that resides on a remote PBX (asterisk)

To have a correct BLF behavior (correct extension status displayed) I must configure that key as :

Type : BLF
Value : the remote PBX extension
Line : a line account registered as extension on the remote PBX

This means that I MUST have on my phone a valid account (extension) registered on the remote PBX to be used as a "transport" for the informations about remote PBX extensions status

The problem is :
When I call a remote extension dialing from numeric pad , the call is placed through the LOCAL PBX account, so the remote called extension see my own extension numer
When the call to the same remote extension is placed via the BLF key, the remote extension see the remote extension numer (local for him) as the call generated by BLF key uses the account registered on remote PBX for BLF purpose.

Is there a way to override this ??
Can I setup a BLF key and define "call the remote extension using account A but monitor it using the account b" ????

Thank you for any hint !!
Can you test to fill value with below syntax?

For example: sip:8888@10.2.1.199

It doesn't work.

Assuming Line1 is our local extension 100 registered on local PBX and Line2 is the "virtual" extension 200 registered on the remote one for BLF purpose, and 201 is the remote extension we need to call/monitor, we have :

Value=201 or
Value=201@remotepbxipaddress or
Value=sip:201@remotepbxipaddress

the behavior is unchanged, that is :

If Line=Line1 we can call extension 201 who see "extension 100" as caller but BLF DOESN'T WORK (led off)

If Line=Line2 we can call extension 201 who see "extension 200" as caller (unwanted behavior) , the BLF feature works OK

We need a mix of two, button working as speed dial with Line1 and BLF with Line2, unless this is possible....
Sorry. It seems impossible to achieve your request. You can change the display name of 200 and replace it as 100. Smile I think it should be a temporary method for you now.
