Googmorning,
we have bought some month ago old tp28 phones.. my idea is to upgrading them to the latest firmware so I've download latest firmware and i've start an upgrade action... during this there was an elettrical issue....
now the phone is keep to reboting.. it seems to be hang...
so I did try to recover the firmware using tftp on boot...
So after modifying the default data i've renamed the firmware image to t28.rom and i've put it on my tftp root folder...
the strange thing is the follow:

on the tftp monitor i can see the request of file coming from the phone, but instead of getting the file called t28.rom it look for something called *****.bin, fs.img, yealink.img....
Why this?
How can i recover that?
what do you mean elettrical issue?do you mean stuck in the installing interface?

if yes,you can do a recovery mode to fix this issue, but T28 don't need the other files, just .rom file.

so I suggest you switch to another network environment to do this, ensur there is no auto provisioning environment, because if you have a

DHCP or PNP enviroment, once the phone reboot, phone will send request to the server, and download the cfg files again.

Hi Klaus!
Thank you for your answer... I try to explain better what really happened...
I've downloaded the latest firmware from the yealink's support site...
Through the web interface I've started an upgrade operation..
on the phone's it was appears a message "upgrade in progress... do no power off!!"
The phone was powered through the poe...
Due to fault of the poe's switch the phone was poweroff...
Now the phone keep on rebooting...
So I've started the recovery procedure....
I've powered off the phone... I've pressed the speaker button and power on the phone unti the recovery's menu' was appears...
I've changed all the settings in order to let the phone conneted to my computer and dowload through tftp the firmware...
I've renamed the firmware in t28.rom and I've started the tftp server on my computer..
On the tftp log viewer I saw the phone instead of requesting t28.rom file it was asked to getdifferent file: as I wrote you before it requested to get 3 files: ram_zimage.bin; fs.img; yealink.img...
This is the first time I see this..For all other phone in the past I did reflash through the recovery tftp menu, everytime they have requested the right file I was expected.... for istance the T22p asked to get the file t22.rom; the t26p asked to get the file t26.rom....
This is very strange...
I supposed the firmware of this file was very old and in the past the recovery menu instead requested one only file called like the phone model, it was istructed to asked for these 3 files...
Sorry I forgot to tell you for flashing the phone i used a cross cable .....
Please help me..
The phone is unusable...

any updates?
Having the same issue with a few T42s and T46s.

Where can I get the .bin and .rfs files to go ahead with the recovery. It says update failed even on recovery without these 2 files and only the ROM.
