I tried to do the remote commands, for example for testing per the manuals
"http://admin:admin@10.1.1.112/servlet?number=999" to dial voicemail. I get errors, such as Cannot find... in Internet Explorer. Sometimes works in Firefox, and works in Chrome once I answer the password dialogs. Once I log into the phone with the browser and drop the username:password, all is good.

I read up on this and the HTML standards have changed due to security issues about passing passwords in the URL.

Going forward, what would be the solution? I like this option because I could use it for my call management system. 3CX changed the way to do this in the upgrades, so no more hot keys. Many hours have been researched for options.

Maybe in a future upgrade, make the user name and password a passed variable in the URL parameters.

If there are other options, I am open to them.

Thank You, Bruce
