Hi
I have new a Yealink W52P.
But it is described in http://support.yealink.com/faq/faqInfo?id=232 that LDAP should be available, but it isn't.
I have firmware:
Base: 25.73.0.40
Handset 26.73.0.11

Nevertheless I tried to use Remote Phonebook, but I always get a "Connect Error!" message on the handset when selecting the phonebook. The xml has the following format:
<YealinkIPPhoneBook>
<Title>Yealink</Title>
<Menu Name="qwe">
<Unit Name="Patrick9" default_photo="Resource:" Phone3="+4144xxxxxxx" Phone2="+4179xxxxxxx" Phone1=""/>
</Menu>
</YealinkIPPhoneBook>

And once more:
I prefer to use LDAP and I'm surprised that this is not available as mentioned in other posts too.

Thanks
Patrick

Look at this thread:

At the end I referenced some scripts that can be used as a Remote Phonebook with an OpenLDAP server.

Thanks MIchael

But I still get this "Connect Error!" when I select them in the mobile. URL registration works always fine. For me it seems, that no format check is done with the registration...

@ Patrick9:

Works fine on my W52P handsets:

RemoteURL: http://<IP-address>/phone-ldap-dir.php?type=yealink
Display Name: LDAP
I get a connect error too Patrick. Were you able to find a fix?
Just to be clear: The W52P does not support LDAP directly. The scripts I mentioned use the Remote Phonebook together with an LDAP server.
Yealink will be releasing a new W56P :

Hello

I have found an other answer (in this Yealink Forum), that W52P will not get support for LDAP. But the next product release W56P should have.

I'm not sure, if you can use so many phone fields. My handset only supports 3 fields (if I create a new contact). That's name, phone1, phone2. If you use/download the XML template from the web UI, I can define much more fields... but on the phone I see/can use still only 2 phone numbers. It's very strange.

For a "new" phone such a address book/phone book is useless. Why this low Information limit exists?

Will by nice, if remote phonebook works. Perhaps some infos of the supported format will help.

I use the same firmware Version on base and on handset.

Regards
Pascal
