Hi,

We have a lot of Csr's that have the W52P with the old firmware, problem is that I could upgrade their firmware remotely through the web interface, but that's only for the base, the handset has to be upgraded with a USB cable, which is a hassle for the Csr.

Question:
1- Is there a way to upgrade both thru the web interface?
2- Would you recommend upgrading just the base and leave the handset with the old firmware?, will that cause any issues?

Thanks in advanced

Hi Abe1048,

1. sorry. Over-the-air(OTA) means that handsets can upgrade through webpage/auto provisioning etc.
OTA upgrade capability is restricted to specific firmware versions and handset
hardware:
(1) Handset with firmware 26.40.0.15 or later
(2) Base station with firmware 25.40.0.15 or later
(3) Handset with hardware 26.0.0.6 or later

OTA is only available when meeting the above three conditions simultaneously.
You can refer more details in below link.

2. You can check your handset version that doesn't have other problems.
If you want to use some features which need to upgrade handset version, you need to upgrade your handset version.
