I have a client that has requested distinctive rings for different lines. In this example I have two different accounts set up on the phone, one for the primary extension 103 and one for the secondary extension of 209.
If I call 209 directly from another phone, I get the distinctive ring. However, if I call the external DID that rings to this phone, I get the standard external ringer. I may have missed something but I don't see a way to set a different external ring based on the account. Am I correct in assuming that this is a phone wide setting? Is there a way I can do this aside from pointing the DID to a queue or something similar and using that distinctive ring option?
