I would like to register SIP-T22P Yealink phones on a Callmanager 8.6 with LDAP integration.

The main problem is creating an account for Yealink phone SIP-T22P on Callmanager.
If I use an account with username of only letters, for example MARTINEZAE, and enter it at the phone's configuration, it doesn't take the registered state, and is Rejected from the Callmanager.
But if the account is only numbers, for example 22301 - it successfully registrates and works.
I updated the firmware with the last version, but the problem still exists.

I will appreciate your help because i have a deadline to put on work this architecture with a username of only letters
( 400 phones to be used with the Cisco Callmanager )

Thanks in advance
Isabel
hi Isabel

thanks for your information

for your issue, do you mean the scenario like below :

1. you are using the Cisco Callmanager 8.6 and the LDAP feature of it
2. when you create an entry of contact with letters like martinezae, then Yealink Phone can't search and find this entry
3. but when you create an entry of contact with only digits like 22301. then Yealink phone can search and find this entry correctly

please point out if any misunderstanding and then make the below items clear to me

1. as you mentioned you are using the last firmware , is it 7.73.0.50? if not , please upgrade to this firmware and then reset to test again ,firmware download link :
http://support.yealink.com/attachmentDow...3.0.50.zip

2. please make sure that all the LDAP configuration on Yealink phone are correctly , for more details , you can refer to the FAQ below :
http://support.yealink.com/faq/faqInfo?id=269

3. as you mentioned that digits entry are all work fine , so why customer mush need contact with letters ? as Cisco is also one of the competitors of Yealink , so it is normal that the compatibility of them may not be so good .

if all the above solution can't solve your issue, please provide us the trace file for future analysis, trace file including pcap file, config bin and syslog file , and we need three of them provide at one time.

for how to get them , please refer to the FAQ below:

let me know if any question

Hi,

If you're open to suggestions, I would like to recommend checking out Tenfold. Tenfold is a CTI solution that works the same as a call manager. They offer features like click to dial, automatic call logging, easy note taking and task creation, screen pops on inbound and outbound calls, new lead/contact creation when no matching records, support for cases/opportunities and advanced analytics
